I actually wrote an HP fic! *Le Gasp* Anyways, It might seem a bit random, cos its a one shot, but then again I thought of it at 5am, day of an exam, so I guess that sorta things happen!
Anyways enjoy!
Perfect Day
Hermione looked out her dormitory window. The sun was shining, the lake was a mass of glistening water and the sky was a beautiful clear blue.
Then she saw him, sitting under the shade of a large tree near the lake. He was back. That meant the war was over.
She ran through the castle and out the front door, stopping several meters away from him. He sensed her watching him and he looked up. His face instantly broke into a smile as he ran to her. They embraced each other. “It has been so long’ he whispered into her ear.
They spent the rest of the day in each others company making the most of the glorious weather. They had a wonderful picnic by the lake, under the same tree she had found him under before.
“This has been the perfect day” she said to him as they lay in each others arms, watching the sun set. Her words seemed to echo as she said them. It truly been the perfect day
Suddenly, the sound of an alarm filled the air, waking Hermione up to the camp’s bleak existence. She looked around the small, dull-coloured tent, quickly pulled on some clothes, then went outside to see what was happening.
A while in the distance, the war was raging. Witches and Wizards, rushing about, firing dangerous spells at one another. Hermione was glad she wasn’t out there fighting. Healing was what she did best anyway.
Finally, she noticed a man carrying a limp figure in his arms coming towards the Healer’s Station. She rushed forward to lend a hand.
As he lay the body down, Hermione let out a gasp. Ronald Weasley. Hermione’s heart started pounding. Even when she started her work, she never had expected to have to heal someone so close to her. She felt a pressure on her shoulders that was not normally there.
She examined him. A deadly spell had entered near his heart. She tried all the spells she knew that might save him. Nothing was working.
Then he moved slightly. Hermione crouched down beside him. “Ron?” she asked anxiously. He opened his eyes slightly and gave her a small smile.
She smiled back, maybe she had saved him. But then he started shaking, and shattered into a million pieces on dust, right before her eyes.
Tears ran slightly down her face. She had lost her one true love.
They would never have their perfect day.
